Appointments

We invite you to stay with your child during dental care. We value the partnership between parent, child, and provider, and feel your presence during care can strengthen this relationship. Our purpose is to gain your child's confidence and overcome apprehension, and provide our dental care in the safest and most compassionate way. It is important for your child’s pediatric dentist to establish rapport with your child during care, so it is most helpful when we communicate freely with your child throughout care. If you would like to use your cell phone or mobile device during your child’s appointment, you are welcome to do so in the reception area.

Our staff will do their best to schedule appointments at your convenience. We recommend that preschool children be seen in the morning because they are well rested and treatment may be more successful. School-aged children with more complex needs may also benefit from morning appointments for the same reason. We are happy to provide your child with a note of absence for school.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for your child. If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you please provide our office at least 48 hours notice. When you give us sufficient notice we are able to appoint another patient in need of dental care. We thank you for attention to our office policy; cooperation enables us to provide efficient care for everyone.

Financial arrangements

We are a fee-for-service practice. Payment in full is required at the end of each appointment. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, Visa, and MasterCard. Families who desire a payment plan are able to make arrangements through CareCredit.

Dental insurance

Your dental insurance plan is purchased by your employer and is a contractual agreement between you and your insurance company. We are unable to influence the terms of your insurance policy. Treatment recommendations are made based on your child’s needs rather than your insurance policy.

Our staff is happy to assist you by preparing an estimate of your insurance coverage. We can calculate an estimate of your co-pay amount based on the insurance information you provide. At your request, more precise information on your insurance benefits may be found after contacting your insurance company for prior authorization.

Patients who have insurance are expected to understand the extent and limits of their policy. Our staff can answer general questions and will submit insurance claims on your behalf.
